Last day as a teacher at River South School

Here is the reading room we have been preparing our lessons for the past two weeks. The air condition is pretty nice.  Today we practiced the roll call for the closing ceremony. "Low" was the song we were dancing to. My students also picked that song for the dancing lesson yesterday. It was so much fun teaching them how to dance and I really enjoyed our last lessons. We played Jeopardy and I talked with them. Some of the topics were about having a girlfriend or a boyfriend, happiness and English as a subject. It was hard saying goodbye to them. The last thing I did was taking them to the store and treat them with ice cream. Two of students asked if they could hug me. I was so happy!
Last week one of the girls gave me a peach.

Being a teacher has changed me. I'm not afraid of speaking in public any more. I appreciate what I have. I'm so glad I'm me! I'm stronger in a way and this experience has been beyond my expectations.
During some of the PE lessons some of the girls have kicked the ball in their own faces and at each others but when we played asshole and been hurt. One of them cried, another girl fell and her knee started bleeding. I had to take one of my student's candy and phone during the class and I've given "the snake eye" to several students (some of the boys were pretty naughty). It has been a little bit hard, but mostly fun and challenging. Funny misunderstandings has occurred. One of my students actually argued with me when I told them that Mount Everest is the highest mountain on earth.
The whole class was laughing. I'm gonna miss them!

Bryan is taking a nap.

Eating fish, sea weed, shrimp with "mi fan" (rice) and other vegetables. We also played some drinking games and drank beer. Kaisa, Simo and Anastajza are so bad at this game! Haha.

The closing ceremony has began! Here are the top students and they are getting a printer each as a recognition of their  effort and achievements.

Me and the guys dancing low.

The ladies turn to get grooving!

Finished with the dance and on our way back stage.

During the performance I managed to fall in that boll of ice and melting water. God damn it! I'm such a clown! We were dancing off stage and I was too busy giving high five to some students and dancing that I didn't see it until I stepped upon the ice in the boll and fell into it. I will never forget the look on Tracy's face when he asked me:
"ARE YOU OKAY?!" HAHAHAHAHA. I could die of embarrassment right there and then, but I had to get back up on stage again. It was a lot of fun. The group spirit was off the roof!

Me and Joanna (my AIESEC buddy) after the show. Happy with our performance and ready to head back.

The happy "low crew"

A farewell picture with Steve Rogers.

When we got to the hotel we sat in the reception discussing what we were suppose to do tonight. Yesterday we went to the Music house by the river and had a good time on the dance floor and enjoying the view. We pretty much had the whole club to ourselves and I discovered that Francesco is a pretty good dancer. Adrian was dancing doggie as usual and Anastajza and Mandy were shaking their bootie like there were no tomorrow.
I had fun! Adrian and I talked together by the river. "You are a chapter in my book".
Anyways.. Back to this evening. We were all gathered in Mandy's and Cecilia's room and talked while listening to music. I was hungry and Adrian offered to follow me to the store. It was nice eating noodles with him. He managed to order the wrong dish for me though, but the chicken noodle was good so I'm not complaining. "One of the things I really like about you is that you're always so positive""Keep being that". How nice of him to say that! It was raining and we were walking home in the rain talking about our families. He is from Seattle a.k.a. the rainy city in the States. Pretty funny since I'm studying in Bergen. Now it's bed time for me!
